AFAIK if you launch a game through steam it should automatically change the button prompts if needed to match your controller. I believe that is the issue you are having. You still might be able to use DSX if there is an option in DSX to make it not mask your controller as an Xbox controller. The DSX / ds4windows programs are only useful for some games launched outside of steam (especially older games) and some emulators also launched outside of steam.Įdit: I may be wrong about DSX because I thought it was the same as DS4windows, I didn't know it also provided dual sense features. If you turn off / don't use the DSX program then steam / the game will register your controller as playstation controller and it should give you the correct button prompts. Also the DSX program is making the game you're playing register you dual sense controller as an Xbox controller. There's no need because steam has excellent default controller support. As someone else mentioned don't use the DSX program when gaming on steam.
